BODY MEASUREMENTS FOR MEN’S SHERWANI:

  1. SHOULDER: Measure from one shoulder point to the other. NOTE: You will use the shoulder points as a base to measure your sleeve length. Your shoulder point(s) should be where the sleeve seam of a well fitting T-shirt would be.
  2. CHEST: This measurement should be taken beneath your armpits, around the widest part of your chest and shoulder blades. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal, and don’t pull to tight or hold your breath while measuring. Put a finger between your body and the tape measure for a comfortable fit.
  3. STOMACH: Measure around the widest part of your stomach; this is usually across your belly-button. Breathe normally & relax whilst taking this measurement.
  4. HIPS: Measure around the widest part of your buttocks.
  5. KURTA LENGTH: Stand straight and measure from the inner edge of the shoulder to the desired length depending on your requirement or the outfit.
  6. SHERWANI LENGTH: Stand straight and measure from the inner edge of the shoulder to the desired length depending on your requirement or the outfit.
  7. SLEEVE LENGTH: Start the measurement by placing the tape on the shoulder tip, down towards the arm and measure up to the desired length of the sleeves, preferably up to the wrist for long sleeve or depending on your requirement or the outfit.
  8. NECK: Use the tape to measure around the base of your neck, where it meets your shoulders. Put a finger between your neck and the tape measure for a comfortable fit.
  9. WAIST: Put the tape around your natural waistline, ideally where you would were your trouser from. Put a finger between your body and the tape measure for a comfortable fit.
  10. CHURIDAR LENGTH: Stand straight and measure from your waist point where you normally tie/ wear your bottoms. Take the tape straight measuring down to your ankle to touch the floor or at the point where you want the bottoms to end. It might be ideal to take extra margins of the footwear height you would wear with this as it will affect the desired length.
